A couple of weeks ago I rolled down to Boise, Idaho with a few of my friends to go check out one of the OWSLA tour stops. Thanks to Stephen over at The Electro Wars I had the opportunity to go backstage and shoot some photos and footage of the tour. Here is how my night panned out...

As I arrived at the Knitting Factory later than I had planned I hoped to god that the opening DJ was still spinning... As I had learned from Ultra, live acts always start later than scheduled. This unfortunately was not the case... As I walked up the stairs and got things all sorted out for the show I could hear the booming bass of Zedd's #1 Beatport Electro House hit Dovregubben. I quickly got more and more excited as The Road Hog (Skrillex's tour manager) took me back and told me where to post up around stage. Quickly I started snapping shots of Zedd destroying the crowd with electro bangers such as Electrixx - Tetris and his very own The Legend Of Zelda mix. As his show started to come to a close Zedd caught me by surprise and stage dove straight into the crowd.
In the end Zedd laid down one of the best sets I had ever seen...
PORTER ROBINSON:
Next up was 18 Year old boy wonder Porter Robinson. (and no that is not water on his shirt...) By this time the venue was hotter than shit. Porter walks on to the stage and before anyone could even catch their breath from Zedd... Porter quickly started NUKING the crowd. His set made me want to stop taking pictures and jump around on stage harder than he was. His performance up in the booth was like nothing I had ever seen. He gave off so much good high energy that I can't imagine one person was having a bad time in the crowd...Well maybe one considering it was 10000000000 degrees in there... Like I said earlier Porter's set was more than I could have hoped for. He dropped everything from Avicii's - Levels to Wolfgang Gartner, to Darth & Vader, to his very own Say My Name, into Madeon's remix of Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon. The list goes on. It was unreal. Each song that he threw into his set was better than the last... Since it was so hot I would constantly go backstage and cool off. As I was sitting in the back room cooling off near the end of his show all of the sudden Skrillex walked in... My eyes probably grew about 3 sizes... But as excited as I was to meet Sonny on stage I heard the faint vocals of Feed Me's - Cloudburn. As badly as I wanted to hear it live I decided to stick around and hang with Sonny and the crew... Until about 30 seconds later... Then the whole room started to shake and I quickly got up out of my seat and walked onto the stage wondering "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS". A mix of Spencer & Hill's - Beatrocka with Feed Me's - Cloudburn and a bass that made my heart stop and ears bleed. It was unreal. (check out a video right here:
